Bisons Sowers named IL Pitcher of the Week

The International League today announced that Bisons LHP Jeremy Sowers has been named the IL Pitcher of the Week for May 26-June 1. Sowers went 2-0 with a 0.69ERA in his two starts for Buffalo during the week.
On the year, Sowers is 4-3 with a 2.08ERA. His ERA is the fourth-lowest in the International League. He also leads the Bisons team in innings pitched (60.2) and quality starts (6) and is second in strikeouts (43).
Sowers put together two great efforts last week for Buffalo. On May 27 in Toledo, Sowers scattered eight hits in six shutout innings as the Bisons defeated the Mud Hens, 6-2 (1BB, 5K). On Sunday, allowed just one run in seven innings as the Herd doubled up Columbus, 2-1 (5H, 1BB, 5K).
Overall in the week, Sowers was 2-0 with a 0.69ERA (13.0IP, 16H, 1R, 1ER, 2BB, 10K).
