Pro Golfer to Swing at Stadium

SYRACUSE (NY) - Caroline Larsson, who plays on golf's Duramed FUTURES Tour, will make an appearance on Wednesday, June 4 at Alliance Bank Stadium.

Larsson joined the FUTURES tour in January of 2007. The 24-year old is a native of Stockholm, Sweden and graduated from Florida State University. She is currently ranked 14th out of 147 members on the 2008 Tour.

Caroline will compete in a closest to the pin contest against a Syracuse Chiefs player and Jim Lerch, from Sportsradio 620 WHEN, prior to Wednesday's game. Each of the three will be representing a fan and the winning fan will receive a $100 Visa gift card, courtesy of Alliance Bank. Larsson will also throw out the first pitch, prior to the Chiefs 7:00 PM game with the Columbus Clippers and then will sign autographs on the main concourse.

The Duramed FUTURES Tour brings 150 professional women golfers from more than 30 nations to Syracuse each summer to compete in the Alliance Bank Golf Classic, a three day tournament at The Links at Erie Village. The Alliance Bank Golf Classic, benefiting Loretto and presented by Bill Rapp Superstore will be held July 18-20. Chiefs' fans can sign up to volunteer at this year's tournament, at a table on the main concourse during the game.

The Chiefs are home Tuesday, June 3 through Friday, June 6 playing against the Columbus Clippers (Washington Nationals).
