Braves to Play One Tonight
June 14, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Gwinnett Stripers News Release
The Gwinnett Braves (35-31, 2nd in IL South) and Columbus Clippers (30-35, 2nd in IL West) were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader tonight at 5:05 PM, but will instead be playing a single 9-inning game tonight as a result of travel issues for Columbus. Based on those travel issues, the official start time has yet to be determined. The game was originally scheduled to begin at 7:05 PM, but is now dependent on Columbus's arrival at Coolray Field. Right-hander Jair Jurrjens (3-3, 5.26) will start for the G-Braves tonight, while right-hander Corey Kluber (4-6, 4.14) will start for the Clippers. Tonight's game will be broadcast on WDUN 550 AM / 102.9 FM and WDUN.com.
The doubleheader will now be played on Friday, June 15 with the first 7-inning contest scheduled to start at 5:05 PM. CSS, which was to broadcast tomorrow night's game, will now be televising the Monday, June 18 game between Gwinnett and Columbus, scheduled for 7:05 PM.
