RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Braves beat the Buffalo Bisons 4-2 at The Diamond Monday. The Braves rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Bisons for the fourth time in five games.

The Bisons scored in the fourth on an RBI ground out by Joe Inglett. They stretched the lead to 2-0 in the fifth on a fly ball by Luis Rivas that turned into a double play but allowed David Wallace to score. Meanwhile, Richmond did not have a baserunner until the sixth. Sean Smith retired the first 17 Braves he faced. But with two outs in the sixth a walk, single, and hit batter loaded the bases and Brayan Pena knocked in two runs with a single to tie the game. In the seventh Iker Franco smashed an RBI double that put the Braves in front to stay. Wes Timmons doubled Franco home to make it 4-2.

Will Startup picked up the win in relief. Rich Scalamandre earned a save. Smith took the loss. Ben Francisco, Luis Rivas, and David Wallace had two hits each for the Bisons.

The Braves and Bisons conclude their six game series Tuesday at The Diamond at 7 PM. Ryan Baerlocher will pitch for the Braves against Aaron Laffey.
