Louisville Bats News Release

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Louisville Bats infielder Brandon Dixon hit for the sixth cycle in franchise history on Tuesday at Frontier Field in a 12-5 Bats win over the Rochester Red Wings. Dixon went 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored, a double, triple, home run and 3 RBI in the game.

Dixon doubled in his first at-bat in the first inning, singled in the third, made his lone out (groundout) in the fifth, homered in the eighth and tripled in the ninth to complete the first cycle for Louisville since Scott Schebler on July 26, 2016 in a home game against the Charlotte Knights.

The players who have hit for the Louisville Bats' past two cycles, Schebler and Dixon, were acquired by the Cincinnati Reds from the Los Angeles Dodgers, along with IF Jose Peraza, in the same December 16, 2015 trade that sent IF Todd Frazier to the Chicago White Sox in a 3-team deal.

Dixon joins Scott Schebler (7/26/2016), Chris Dickerson (7/26/2007), Anderson Machado (5/18/2007), David Bell (8/11/1995) and Stan Royer (7/19/1991) as batters to record a single, double, triple and home run in a single game for Louisville.

Dixon is batting .329 (55-for-167) with 25 runs, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 21 RBI, 10 walks and 8 stolen bases in 46 games for Class AAA Louisville this season. Dixon has started at 5 different positions this season: first base (13), second base (11), left field (11), third base (4) and right field (2).
