Brahmas Top Bucks, Win Second Straight

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - Tyler Barr scored his first goal of the season just 3:28 into the first period on Saturday night, and the Brahmas held the lead for the final 56:32 to beat the Bucks 2-1.

Adam Hogg continued his stellar play versus the Bucks in 2011-12, adding his fifth goal in 10 tilts against Laredo. Hogg's 13th goal of the season came at the 1:19 mark of the second period and served as the game-winner.

Laredo goaltender Torrie Jung made 40 saves on 42 shots on net by the Brahmas but took the loss to fall to 12-16-1 on the season. Texas netminder Mark Guggenberger stopped 23 of 24 shots fired by the Bucks to win his second straight and improve his record to 11-4-3.

The Brahmas look to win their third straight game when they travel to Allen to face off against the Americans in a matchup of Metroplex rivals on Tuesday, February 14 at 7:05pm at the Allen Event Center. The team then returns to the NYTEX Sports Centre to host the Dayton Gems on Wednesday, Febraury 15 at 7:00pm.
