Dayton, OH - The Dayton Gems conclude their tough 4-in-5 week by returning home to host the first place Fort Wayne Komets on Cassano's Italian Ice inside Hara Arena. Faceoff is set for 7pm. Saturday night is the Gems "Pink in the Rink" game.

The Gems limp home winless in their last five games in regulation, despite earning a point against the Evansville IceMen on the road Friday night. The Gems found themselves battling back to tie the game in the final minutes of regulation before being stunned with mere seconds left in sudden death overtime to fall 3-2 to the Evansville IceMen inside the Ford Center on Friday night. Scoring for the Gems was Andy Zulyniak and Brett Lutes.

Gameday In Dayton

Tonight marks the 10th meeting this season with the Komets, with the Gems 2-6-1 against their closest rival in 2011-2012.

Dayton's last matchup with the Komets was a 3-1 regulation loss inside the War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne back on February 4.

Fort Wayne skates into the Gem City high off a 4-1 win over the Quad City Mallards in front of a sold out Coliseum crowd on Friday night. Colin Chaulk scored two goals and added an assist.

Saturday's game is "Pink in the Rink" to support three local woman's health organizations through a special postgame "Pink" game worn jersey auction in the Hara lobby. The first 500 women through the gates starting at 6pm receive a limited edition Gems pink tote bag.

Jammed It for Jimmy - The Gems thawed the IceMen 4-3 in front of a season high crowd of 5,187 inside Hara Arena on Saturday, January 28. Portions of the ticket proceeds went to local teen cancer patient Jimmy Jenks, who dropped the ceremonial first puck.

Tradin Post - The Gems were just one of four teams to engage in a transaction at the trade deadline (Feb. 6), acquiring blueliner Nick Schneider from Evansville in exchange for Chad Langlais.

Mark the Spot - Dayton's newly acquired netminder Mark Sibbald comes in a trade from Allen. He was named the 10/11 SPHL Goalie of the Year while with the Huntsville Havoc.

All Star Lutes - Brett Lutes represented the Gem City as the lone Gems player participating in the 2012 All Star Game. Luteswould earn two assists and a +5 rating to help his CHL All Star team beat the CHL's Arizona Sundogs 6-4.

The Closer - Dayton's Tim Hartung sits tied for most Game Winning Goals by a defenseman with 3, while leading the CHL'sblueliners in Shootout Goals with 4.

Powerplay Master - Brandon Naurato is now tied for first in the CHL in powerplay goals with 10.
