Brahmas Regroup, Make Trade

North Richland Hills, Texas (January 8)-The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have traded forward Robin Big Snake to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in exchange for the rights to David Masse today. Big Snake had 8 points (1 G, 7 A) in 25 games and 208 penalty minutes this season.

The 26-year-old left winger, Masse had 12 points (5 G, 7 A) in 13 games with Rio Grande. Currently, Masse is playing with the Isothermic Thetford Mines of the Quebec Senior Hockey League. In 12 games he has 16 points (9 G, 7 A).

"We needed to make some tough personnel decisions to turn things around," said Head Coach Dan Wildfong, "We are confident that this is in the best interest for the team in hopes of a championship and wish only the best for Robin and his family."

The team will have a few days to regroup as they return home at the NYTEX Sports Centre for a contest against the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 PM. The Brahmas have a busy upcoming schedule, including six occasions of back-to-back-to-back games.

The Brahmas will return home having lost their last seven away games. The team's most recent victory came December 28 with a 3-2 home win against the Odessa Jackalopes.
