Andy Franck To Return To Hounds

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds of the Central Hockey League announced today that goaltender Andy Franck has been reassigned to Youngstown by the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Franck, 26, was called up to the AHL franchise in November and has since recorded a 7-1-1 record with a 2.71 goals against average and a .890 save percentage.

The third year pro from Lakewood, Ohio returns to the Hounds where he posted an 11-2-1 record with a 2.40 goals against average and a .911 save percentage. He has been named the Northern Conference starting goaltender for the 2008 CHL All Star Game to take place in Broomfield, Colorado on Wednesday, January 16th.

In Franck's absence the Hounds have relied on Brad Roberts and Layne Sedevie who have posted a combined 7-6-1 record.

The All Star netminder is set to make his return to the Hounds this weekend when they visit the Mississippi RiverKings on Friday and Saturday night.

The Hounds (20-8-2, 42 points) will play one more game without the services of Andy Franck tonight when they take on the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (20-7-3, 43 points) at 8:05 with first place in the Northeast Division on the line.
