Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -A road game took place Sunday afternoon, but according to the scoreboard it seemed as if the Brahmas didn ¬â¢t show as they were defeated 6-0 to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.
A sluggish first period ended with a scoreless result, but it was the following two periods where Texas seemed to crumble, allowing six goals in the final 40 minutes. Mudbug forward Jamie Milam recorded a hat trick and players Andy Contols, Shawn Limpright and Travis Clayton each netted a goal in the lopsided Shreveport victory. The game marked the first time the Brahmas were shutout in the season.
Scott Reid stopped 25 shots in net for Texas as the Brahmas bench had just 23 shots. The Brahmas are off to visit the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on the road tomorrow afternoon for a 4:05 pm faceoff. Texas returns home for some Tuesday action hockey at NYTEX when the Bloomington Prairie Thunder visit for a 7 pm game.
