Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (December 6)- The two best teams in the Southeast division matched up at the home of the Texas Brahmas, and it was the Laredo Bucks who prevailed winning 2-1 in a shootout.

Laredo's offense had a quick start when Darryl Smith shot a goal past Brahmas netminder Brett Jaeger for his team leading 16th of the season at the 16:54 mark. In net for Laredo was Sebastien Centomo.

Texas entered the second period with a two man disadvantage but the penalty killing unit took care of things keeping the Brahmas within one. At the midway mark in the period Brahmas forward Jordan Cameron was able to beat Centomo from his knees to knot the game at 1-1.

Following a scoreless third period and overtime, the two teams proved it would take a shootout to get a result between the new Southeast rivals. Centomo was stellar in goal for the Bucks stopping all four Brahmas attempts. Laredo forward Jason Dixon was credited with the game winner beating Jaeger in the shootout.

The Brahmas next home game is Tuesday, December 9 at the NYTEX Sports Centre when they take on the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees for a 7:05 PM faceoff. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423.
