WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI - With the aid of six Bomber errors in the field, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeated the Bombers 12-4 in the series finale.

Offensively, Dylan Delaney led the team with three base hits, including a solo home run into left field to lead off the third inning. Just two batters later, Daniel Rockett matched Delaney's effort by launching a ball over the left field fence. Unfortunately for the Bombers, the offense went silent after that third inning.

The Rafters re-took the lead in the bottom of the fourth and never looked back. They scored two in the fourth, four in the fifth, two in the seventh, and two in the eighth, en route to the victory. With the loss the Bombers finish their road trip 2-3.

Beginning Monday, Battle Creek begins a very important series against the first place La Crosse Loggers. After their loss today, the Bombers sit 4.5 games out of first place with 15 games remaining in the first half. The first pitch Monday night is scheduled for 7:05 E.T.

The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the prestigious Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.
