Battle Creek, Mich - The Battle Creek Bombers (11-16) once again got timely hitting and solid pitching to defeat the Green Bay Bullfrogs (9-17), 7-4.

Green Bay jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first, plating a run with two outs off Bomber starter, Caleb Vincent (W 3-2), but from there, Vincent shut down the Bullfrogs. Vincent went the longest any Battle Creek pitcher has this season, seven innings. Caleb also recorded seven strikeouts, a season high.

The Bombers grabbed the lead right back in the bottom of the second inning. A ground ball by Tyler Moore plated Kade Scivicque. Tommy Mirabelli then doubled in Moore who reached on a fielder's choice. Jordan Foster then delivered the big blow, a three-run homer, his first in a Bombers uniform.

Battle Creek got several insurance runs in the eight with RBI singles from Matthew Fears and Scivicque. Kellen Urbon allowed a pair of runs in the ninth before finishing the game off. Matt Esparza (L 1-3) also went seven innings, but allowed five runs while striking out five. The Bullfrogs and Bombers will conclude the series tomorrow.
