Bismarck Bobcats News Release

The Bismarck Bobcats came away with a victory and a loss in West Division play over the weekend.

The Bobcats overcame a 2-1 third period deficit on Friday night against Fargo-Moorhead to edge the Jets 3-2 on the road. Ben Noah scored the first Bismarck goal in the second period and was assisted by Matt McDonald. At 5:36 in the third period, Nick Schneider found the net on the power play. Casey Dynan and Clay Rehm assisted on the goal. Finally at 10:36, Pat Dynan (Casey's brother) scored his first goal of the year, which turned out to be the game winner. Casey Dynan assisted once again along with Jacque Lamoreaux. The loss for Fargo-Moorhead was only their second of the year.

On Saturday, the 'Cats played catch-up most of the night and never led against Minnesota, losing 4-2. Richard Huna scored late in the first period to tie it up 1-1. In the second, the Blizzard went ahead once again early with Dan McCauley netting a goal, only for Huna to score with :09 seconds left in the period to lock it up at 2-2 after two. In a hard-fought third stanza, the Blizzard made more of their opportunities with Michael Hawkins and Josh Frider scoring goals. Once again, Bismarck outshot Minnesota 41-27, but it didn't matter.

The Blizzard have been outshot in every game they've played against the Bobcats, but they've won all but one of them.

Bismarck is now 5-6-3 on the season and play only once next weekend at Minnesota.
