Alpena IceDiggers News Release

The Team Toledo IceDiggers have announced that the game from this past Sunday, October 31, will be broadcast on BCSN, Toledo's local sports television network.

The IceDiggers' regular season NAHL game against the Cleveland Barons, a heartbreaking, but exciting 4-3 overtime loss to Cleveland, is scheduled to be broadcast all during this week, with the first showing having been on Monday.

The game is to be broadcast three additional times this week including: Tuesday Nov. 2, at 9:30 a.m., Thursday Nov. 4, at 12:30 p.m. and Friday Nov. 5 at 3:30 p.m.

"There is no better marketing vehicle for the NAHL than television," said Toledo's general manager Mike Mankowski. "Our arrangement with BCSN has provided our team with the opportunity to share our brand of hockey with people in our community that may not have otherwise been exposed to the NAHL. We will look forward to added growth opportunities that BCSN will offer."

BCSN broadcast four IceDiggers regular season games last season and plans to cover more this season.

The IceDiggers next game is another classic all-Ohio rivalry against the Youngstown Phantoms this coming Saturday afternoon, November 6, at 3:00 p.m. The game will be played at the Toledo Ice House - Home of Bryan Smolinski, 1258 West Alexis Road (across from GM Powertrain). Tickets for adults are $6, for students and seniors $4, with kids 12 and under admitted free.
