Bismarck Bobcats News Release
Bobcat Hockey is ready to prowl, as the Bismarck Bobcats announce the release of their 2004-05 schedule. The season is just around the corner as Bobcats look to defend their back-to-back Borne Cup West Division titles.
The team will hit the ice in an exhibition game against the Billings Bulls on September 9, and start the season with their home season opener against the Fargo-Moorhead Jets on September 18.
Plus, Bismarck will be the host team and a participant in the 2005 USA Hockey NAHL National Championship Tournament. The tournament, to be played from April 26-30, is comprised of round-robin play and then one day of championship play following the NAHL season.
"This will be a tremendously exciting event for the Bismarck-Mandan community, in terms of sport, community promotion and commerce, stated Bobcats owner/CEO
Thom Brigl about the event. "The Bobcats have won consecutive Borne Cup championships and have made appearances in the National Tournament for the past two seasons.
"We know what to expect and are looking forward to competing in the tournament. In addition, we are proud to bring to this community the opportunity to be a showcase for USA Hockey and the NAHL and are confident that Bismarck and Mandan will put on a first class tournament."
