
Bob Watson honored with two NLL player awards

TORONTO -The National Lacrosse League announced the week six player awards for the 2007 season and among those named was Rock goaltender Bob Watson honoured as both Defensive Player of the Week and Overall Player of the Week.
Bob Watson is credited for his outstanding performances in the back to back wins for the Toronto Rock this past weekend over the Buffalo Bandits.
On Friday February 2nd, Watson allowed only 10 goals from 40 shots in the Rock victory on the road at the HSBC Center. Returning to the ACC in Toronto for a re-match on Saturday February 3rd, Watson recorded 39 saves from 47 shots on goal and acknowledged for an assist in a late third quarter goal from team mate Ryan Benesch.
The Toronto Rock (2-3) have this week off and resume their schedule next weekend on Sunday February 18th 2007 when they take on NLL expansion team, the Chicago Shamrox at the Air Canada Centre at 3:30 p.m.
