Rush to face Sting

Edmonton, AB--. The Rush are coming off back-to-back losses to the league-leading Colorado Mammoth while the Sting slipped past New York 16-15 last week to stay tied with Calgary for second in the division.

Chris Gill currently leads the Rush with 18 points on nine goals and nine assists. Jimmy Quinlan is the top Rush goal scorer so far this season with 10 while Randy Daly is tops in assists with 10. Daly and Cam Bergman are tied for the team lead with 27 loose balls.

The Rush went 0-2 versus the Sting in 2006, losing 15-11 at home and 13-9 in Glendale. Rush forward Kevin Howard scored a hat trick against the Sting in Edmonton with Chris McElroy chipping in a three-assist game.

The Rush will be hosting a peewee tournament all day at Rexall Place with four teams vying for the championship trophy. The two teams with the best records in round-robin play will meet in the final which will be held at halftime of the Rush vs. Sting game.

The Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council and the Rush will be hosting registration for the 2007 Edmonton minor box lacrosse season starting at 9 a.m. in Rexall Place's West Club and going until halftime of the Rush game. All kids who come down to register will get a ticket to the Rush vs. Sting game that night and all kids who register will have a chance to win their registration plus a $200 gift certificate for equipment from United Cycle.

Superheroes Night

Fans are invited to dress as their favourite superhero and see the spectacular webslinger Spider-Man in action.
