
Blues Sign Ben Bishop to One-Year Contract

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed goaltender Ben Bishop to a one-year, two-way contract.
"Ben keeps pushing himself to take the next step and we expect him to compete to make our team this season," said Armstrong.
Bishop, 24, played in 35 games for the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate Peoria Rivermen last season, compiling a record of 17-14-2 including a 2.55 goals against average, .914 save percentage as well as two shutouts. Over the past four seasons, Bishop has posted a record of 57-50-8 with a 2.70 GAA and a 0.904 save percentage with Peoria.
The, 6'7", 215-pound goaltender also appeared in seven games for the Blues posting a 3-4-0 record including a 2.76 goals against average and a .899 save percentage.
A native of St. Louis, Bishop was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 85th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
