
Bluefish Win Game One of Doubleheader 2-0 over Patriots

Bridgeport, CT - The Bridgeport Bluefish (23-31) defeated the Somerset Patriots (26-28) 2-0 in eight innings in game one of the doubleheader at Harbor Yard. Right fielder Prentice Redman hit a walk-off two run home run (7) to propel the Bluefish to victory.
Reliever TJ Hose suffered his second loss of the season. Reliever Rommie Lewis earned his third win of the season.
Starting pitchers Roy Merritt and Dan Serafini each pitched gems but received no decisions. Merritt went 6.2 innings allowing no runs and five hits. Serafini went seven innings and surrendered only one hit which was a bunt single by center fielder Joe Holden.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue on the road until Monday, June 25th when the Patriots return home to take on the Long Island Ducks at TD Bank Ballpark at 7:05 pm.
