(Bridgeport, Conn.) - Prentice Redman hit a walk-off two run shot in the eighth, in the first game to start a doubleheader sweep by the Bridgeport Bluefish (24-31) against the Somerset Patriots (26-29) at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Saturday. Redman ripped a two-run shot to left in the first game of the doubleheader in the eighth off of Somerset righthanded reliever, T.J. Hose (1-2). Roy Merritt did not factor in the decision as he lasted six-and-two-thirds frames. Bridgeport produced five hits and a walk while striking out three times against the Somerset starter. Hose entered the game and surrendered the final runs in an inning of work. The reliever allowed one hit and a walk while striking out a batter.

In game two, Bridgeport starter Paul Oseguera (5-2) tossed the teams' second complete game of the year in picking up the victory. The southpaw allowed one run, five hits, and one walk while striking out six. He gave up an RBI single in the first to Aaron Matthews.

Norberto Susini picked up his first Bluefish RBI as he reached on an error by Lou Santangelo. Brock Peterson collected three hits in the second game while Simmons had two singles and scored a run for the winning side.

Derell McCall (2-3) suffered the loss for the Patriots. The starter worked five-and-a-third innings while allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk. The righthander struck out two Bluefish hitters. Chase Wright gave up a walk and retired two hitters to finish the game.
