BlueClaws Return Home To Face Lake County And Delmarva

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The BlueClaws will return home to FirstEnergy Park on Wednesday, April 16 for series against the Lake County Captains and the Delmarva Shorebirds.

After a five-game road trip, Lakewood will start a five- game homestand on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. against Lake County for the first game of a two-game set. Every fan in attendance will receive a post-game treat courtesy of Hershey's.

The game will also be the second and final Spring Cleaning Day, sponsored by Real Kountry K98.5 and Hecht Trailers. The BlueClaws will be collecting gently used sporting goods equipment to donate to Lakewood Little League and the YMCA of Ocean County.

Thursday will be the first education day of the season at FirstEnergy Park. First pitch will be at 11:05 a.m. and the first 2,000 fans 17 and under will receive oversized baseball cards, courtesy of Harrogate and the Asbury Park Press.

Friday will be the second fireworks night of the season, as the BlueClaws take on Delmarva at 7:05 p.m. Fireworks will take place after the game and are presented by Toyota and Scion World of Lakewood.

Saturday will be a busy day at FirstEnergy Park. Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 National Guard car will be on display throughout the game, as fans will have a chance to check out the car up close and also take pictures with it.

The 1:05 p.m. start will also be the BlueClaws annual Kids Character Party, as favorite cartoon characters will be on hand to mingle with the fans.

The BlueClaws wrap the homestand with a 1:05 p.m. game on Sunday. Prior to the day's action on the field, there will be plenty going on around the field as the BlueClaws host their annual 5K Run in the Park. The race will start prior to the day's game and will finish on the field at FirstEnergy Park. All participants will receive a ticket to that afternoon's game.

The BlueClaws will hit the road for seven games on Monday before returning to Lakewood on April 29th.
