Kannapolis, NC - The Kannapolis Intimidators will host the First Annual Barbeque and Baseball Festival this Saturday, April 19th at their game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Fans will be able to sample competing teams' barbeque during the game for $5.00.
Twenty-one teams from the Greater Charlotte area have signed up to participate in the event. Fans will also be able to vote for their favorite barbeque, with the winning team receiving the Harko Cup in honor of the late Jim Harkins. Proceeds from the contest will be donated to Joan Roberts Foundation for Ovarian Cancer. Gates open at 5:00pm with the game starting at 7:05pm.
Once fans have had their fill of barbeque, they can enjoy the Intimidators first fireworks show of the season courtesy of Coors Light.
