BlueClaws Fall 13-1 to Delmarva on Friday Night

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Delmarva scored five runs in the second and five more in the fourth to blow open the game and the Shorebirds went on to top the BlueClaws 13-1 on Friday night at FirstEnergy Park.

The loss was Lakewood's largest of the season and dropped them to a season-high 12-games under .500 at 20-32.

Trey Mancini drove in four runs and hit a three-run home run in the second inning off BlueClaws starter Ranfi Casimiro (2-5). Mancini has driven in seven runs in the first two games of the series. Casimiro took the loss after allowing eight runs/four earned in 3.1 innings pitched.

Meanwhile, the BlueClaws were flummoxed by Hunter Harvey (3-3), who allowed just one unearned run in six innings to improve to 2-0 against the BlueClaws this year.

Chance Sisco added two hits and two RBIs while Gregory Lorenzo drove in three for the Shorebirds, who are now 5-1 against the BlueClaws this year.

David Richardson threw three scoreless innings of relief to earn his first save.

Willians Astudillo had a single to extend his hitting streak to 14, the longest by a BlueClaw this year. Samuel Hiciano and Mitch Walding also had hits for Lakewood.

The series continues Saturday at 4:05. RHP Tyler Viza (2-5, 3.88) starts for the BlueClaws opposite LHP Mitch Horacek (2-5, 2.94).
