LAKEWOOD, NJ - Another one-run game and another Lakewood BlueClaws victory in a one-run game as Travis d'Arnaud doubles home Harold Garcia in the ninth for a 1-0 victory against the Delmarva Shorebirds in game one of two.

Before and after the rain and the 24 hours between pitches, the game was a pitcher's duel from the start. Both starters Jesus Sanchez and Nathan Moreau had been throwing shutouts and could not continue in the completion of the game. However, Cole McCurry and Freddy Ballestas kept up their end of the bargain.

McCurry kept the Shorebirds no-hitter active through six innings and Ballestas, making his debut with Lakewood, struck out eight in five innings, allowing just two hits.

Shane Matthews (0-2) enters in the eighth and gets the Shorebirds out of a tight jam after Travis Mattair doubled. However, he was the losing pitcher, allowing the run in the ninth. BJ Rosenberg (5-2) was the next pitcher for the BlueClaws and he entered in the ninth and worked a clean inning for the win.

The BlueClaws (1-1) and Shorebirds (1-1) will play a seven-inning game with Heitor Correa (4-2) and Brent Allar (0-2) on the mound in game two.

The tickets to the June 26th game can be exchanged in person at the BlueClaws Box Office for any BlueClaws game the rest of the season, however, there are two fireworks days remaining within this homestand. On Thursday and Friday of next week, July 2nd and 3rd there will also be post-game fireworks presented by Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood. The tickets to the June 26th game must be presented.
