
Blue Jackets Reassign Forwards Kole Sherwood, Sam Vigneault to Monsters from ECHL's Jacksonville IceMen

CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters announced Tuesday that the team's NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, reassigned forwards Kole Sherwood and Sam Vigneault to the Monsters from the ECHL's Jacksonville IceMen. In eight appearances for the Monsters this season, Sherwood posted 1-0-1 with four penalty minutes and a -2 rating while Vigneault supplied 0-2-2 with 12 penalty minutes and an even rating in 13 games played for Cleveland this year. Vigneault supplied 1-5-6 with two penalty minutes and a+4 rating in three appearances for Jacksonville, while Sherwood added 1-0-1 with four penalty minutes and a+2 rating in three games played for the IceMen.
A 6'1", 202 lb. right-handed native of Columbus, OH, Sherwood, 21, contributed 1-0-1 with six penalty minutes and a -2 rating in ten career AHL appearances for Cleveland spanning parts of the 2016-17 and 2018-19 seasons. Prior to his professional career, Sherwood tallied 75-104-179 with 169 penalty minutes and a +33 rating in 180 OHL appearances for the London Knights, Flint Firebirds and Kitchener Rangers spanning three seasons from 2015-18 and helped London claim the 2015-16 OHL Championship. In three appearences for the USHL's Youngstown Phantoms during the 2014-15 campaign, Sherwood notched 1-1-2 with a +2 rating.
A 6'5", 203 lb. left-handed native of Baie-Comeau, QC, Vigneault, 23, posted 10-19-29 with 62 penalty minutes and a -7 rating in 85 career AHL appearances for the Monsters spanning the past three seasons. During a three-year collegiate career from 2014-17, Vigneault collected 30-45-75 with 79 penalty minutes and a +5 rating in 106 NCAA appearances for Clarkson University.
