Belleville Senators News Release

Ready for his first full professional season, it took less than one game for Logan Brown to hit the shelf.

The 20-year-old center wound up missing more than a month of action as he sat out 14 games with a knee injury.

"You train all summer for the beginning of the season and to get hurt like that at the beginning of the season sucks," Brown said. "I worked hard to get back and I feel pretty good now."

Brown returned to the line-up on Nov. 16 against Toronto and wound up scoring his first professional goal in the process as the Senators collected a 5-4 overtime win over the defending Calder Cup champions.

"It was good for sure and it certainly helped to get some confidence," Brown said. "I'm just looking for a few more of those now."

In six games with Belleville, Brown has a goal and an assist and has seen time on the Senators' top power play unit too.

Of course, Brown, the 11th overall pick in 2016, made his NHL debut last season playing in four games with Ottawa where he collected an assist.

The 6'6 forward also has a World Juniors bronze medal to his name (2017) and won the 2017 Memorial Cup with the Windsor Spitfires. After a trade to Kitchener last season, Brown recorded an OHL high 22 assists in the playoffs and tallied 27 points in only 19 games as the Rangers went to Game 7 of the Western Conference finals.

He hopes to build on those successes now with Belleville.

"The guys have been good and coach has put me in positions to succeed so things have been going good."
