Moose Announce Roster Moves

Winnipeg - The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today the Winnipeg Jets have reassigned goaltender Mikhail Berdin from the organization's ECHL affiliate, the Jacksonville Icemen, to the Moose. Manitoba also announced defencemen Jacob Cederholm and Justin Woods have been recalled from Jacksonville, while goaltender Ken Appleby has been assigned to the Icemen.
Berdin, 20, made his AHL debut with the Moose earlier this season and rolled out a 3-0-0 record, supported by a 1.92 goals-against average and 0.941 save percentage in three appearances. The Ufa, Russia native has a 10-2-0 record in 12 ECHL appearances with Jacksonville, backed by a 2.35 goals-against average and 0.916 save percentage. Berdin was a sixth round selection, 157th overall, of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Cederholm, 20, has one assist and a plus-nine rating in 11 games with Jacksonville this season. The Helsingborg, Sweden product made his AHL debut with the Moose on April 8, 2018 after playing 29 professional games in Europe for HV71, Vasterviks IK and IK Oskarshamn during the 2017-18 season. Cederholm was selected in the fourth round, 97th overall, by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Woods, 24, has seven points (3G, 4A) in 19 games with Jacksonville this season. The Fairbanks, Alaska native completed his NCAA eligibility in 2017-18 after posting 47 points (18G, 29A) and 105 penalty minutes in 133 games with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Following the conclusion of his season with the Nanooks, Woods joined the Icemen and racked up seven points (3G, 4A) in eight games. Woods made his AHL debut with the Moose on April 6, 2018 against the Bakersfield Condors.
Appleby, 23, has made five appearances with the Moose this season while posting a 0-4-0 record, alongside a 4.78 goals-against average and an 0.873 save percentage. Appleby posted a 10-13-1 record with a 2.76 goals-against average and 0.901 save percentage in 26 games for the Binghamton Devils last season. A native of North Bay, Ont., Appleby also appeared in three NHL games with New Jersey, stopping 52 of 55 shots in 124 minutes of action.
