Blazers Lace Up With Pink

The Kamloops Blazers will add a little pink to their lines on Friday, October 2, 2009 when they face off against the Vancouver Giants in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

The Blazers will sport pink jerseys and pink socks, and invite their fans to wear pink as well. You can submit and monitor bids on these jersey's that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation at www.blazerhockey.com

At the game we will be accepting donations of gently used bras to be taken by members of our local participating teams, the Casa de Mamas, to help women in Mexico who have survived breast cancer and do not have access to proper bras, fitting or prosthetics.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in 56 locations across Canada. Visit www.cbcf.org for a full listing of BC Run sites. In Kamloops the Run starts at 10:00 AM at the Rotary Bandshell, Riverside Park.

Every year, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, along with its donors, sponsors and partners, raises funds to support unique and innovative initiatives in prevention, early detection, treatment, research and emerging issues in the health care workforce.
