The Saskatoon Blades (34-23-0-1) look to return to the win column as they play host to the Swift Current Broncos (21-31-2-4) on Friday night.

The Blades currently sit tied for 5th in the Eastern Conference with the Calgary Hitmen as both teams have 69 points. The Broncos are 10th overall in the East with 48 points.

Saskatoon is coming off of a tough, 5-2 loss in Moose Jaw from Wednesday night. In that game, they scored the first two goals but couldn't hold off the strong Warriors attack in the second period.

The Blades will be looking to return to the win column on a special night, as the Blades are set to honour the military for Military Appreciation Night.

The Blades will honour the military by doing a pre-game ceremony. Several hundred military personnel will also be on hand for the game, representing all kinds of groups including the Canadian Forces, the Navy and the cadets, among others.

The game will also be used to support the MS Society. Former Saskatchewan Roughriders star Don Narcisse will be at the to help support the cause. He will also be signing autographs throughout the first portion of the game to raise funds and awareness in support of the MS Society.

It's a night filled with great events and a great game as the Blades host the Swift Current Broncos.

- The Blades also have some other big nights on the horizon this month. February 22nd is another Budget Car And Truck Rental Raincheck night! Any un-used Blades season tickets from the previous games can be cashed in for additional seats to the game for only $2 a piece. The Blades are hosting Lethbridge that night, so you won't want to miss it.

- That night is also Faith Night at the Saskatoon Blades game. The Blades also have a very special guest planned to take part in the night via video transmission. If anyone wants to bring a group to that night to learn more about faith or spirituality, or to just take in a great hockey game, you can contact the Blades ticket staff by calling 975-8844!

- On February 24th the Saskatoon Blades are hosting Scout Night! Local scouts get a deal for the game and can also take part in a post-game movie on the big screen, plus a skate following the game. For more information you can contact our office.

- February 24th will also be a game broadcast on National TV as Rogers Sportsnet is in town. The Blades host the Kootenay Ice, another team battling for playoff positioning and it will be a great game. Fill up the building and get loud for that one!

- The Saskatoon Blades are also set to unveil a special new Brier kickoff jersey later this month as they host the Red Deer Rebels on the 25th! Not only can you see the great look the Blades will have, you will also have a chance to bid on the special edition jerseys. Funds raised will go towards Curl Saskatoon! The picture below is a bit of a sneak peek at the jerseys!

- Blades fans are also asked to remember that next season's season tickets go on sale next week on Tuesday! Beat the rush and get your tickets as soon as possible!
