'Blades announce 2007-08 promotional schedule

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades 2007-08 home schedule is once again loaded with promotional items, and special events for their fans! The festivities kick off on opening night when the Everblades begin their 10th Anniversary Season on October 19 vs. the Mississippi Sea Wolves. Fans arriving at Germain Arena will be greeted to a red carpet entrance and once inside will receive a plethora of gifts commemorating the 10th Anniversary!
Fans attending the home opening game will receive an Everblades light-up necklace, a special commemorative DVD recapping the team's first nine years and a commemorative 10th Anniversary Yearbook. Opening night will also include a special pre-game ceremony as the Everblades retire the jersey numbers of Reggie Berg and Tom Buckley. The Everblades will also be raising the '2006-07 South Division Champions' banner to the rafters.
The more popular promotions are back once again this season with the Everblades handing out items such as magnetic schedules, team photos, team calendars, the popular player card sets and, of course, the bobblehead! In a vote by the fans, this seasons' bobble head giveaway will feature former Everblade Steve Saviano's likeness! The Everblades will also once again hold at least two game-worn jersey auctions.
Also returning this season will of course be the "Teddy Bear Toss" on December 15, and Elvis Tribute night will return on January 5 with Elvis impersonator Elvis Wayne making another appearance! In addition, the "Puck Toss" contest will be back for another season. Every Saturday night fans will have a chance to win an autographed Everblades jersey by tossing a foam puck through the sunroof of a Saturn car on the ice.
