Buffalo Bisons News Release

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Ottawa Lynx in the final game of a four-game series from Lynx Stadium (6:05 p.m.). The Herd won the first two games of the series with a pair of one-run victories. Ottawa won game three, 4-1. On the mound today for the Bisons will be RHP Jeff Harris, who is coming off his best outing of the season (6.0IP, 3H, BB, 2K). The Lynx will counter with LHP J.A. Happ.

VS. OTTAWA: The Bisons are 5-2 against Ottawa this season. The Herd opened up the 2007 season against the Lynx in Buffalo, April 9-12, and won three of four games. Buffalo now has a 92-59 edge on Ottawa since 1998. That is the most wins the Herd has against any other team since rejoining the International League.

ROAD WARRIORS: Tonight concludes the Bisons third winning roadtrip to start the 2007 season. Buffalo went 6-2 from April 13-20 in Columbus and Toledo and posted a 5-3 record in Pawtucket and Syracuse, April 27-May 4. So far since Sunday, the Herd is 4-1 with the final game of the trip tonight. Buffalo's 15 road wins are two more than any other team in the IL.

TRIPLE CROWN: Ryan Mulhern leads the Bisons in all three triple crown categories. The slugger has a .336 average (5th in the International League), eight home runs (T3rd in IL) and 28RBI (T1st in the IL). Mulhern also leads the Herd in doubles (11-T4th in the International League), extra-base hits (20, T1st in IL) and slugging percentage (.632, 2nd in IL).

HOT BAT: Outfielder Brad Snyder enters play tonight with a six-game hit streak, the longest active streak on the team. Since May 11, Snyder has hit .421 (8-19) with a double, two home runs, six RBI and four runs scored. He has also hit in 13 of his last 16 games, raising his season average from .195 (April 27) to .280.

HIGH-SCORING HERD: The Bisons are tied with the Indianapolis Indians for the most runs scored so far this season (197). The Herd offense is also second in the league in average (.274), tied for third in home runs (33) and fourth in steals (42).

SPEED TRAP: Catcher Mike Rose is the International League's top catcher, having thrown out 65% (11-17) of would-be base stealers. The switch-hitter is also 10 for his last 20 at the plate, good for a .500 batting average.
