OTTAWA - Lynx OF Ron Calloway announced his retirement today.
Calloway, 30, was hitting .200 with three runs batted in over 31 games with the Lynx this season. He also played for the Lynx in 2001 and 2002 and made his Major League debut with the Montreal Expos in 2003. He had a .278 career Minor League batting average in more than 1,000 games, spanning professional seasons.
This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lynx Box Office is Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Ticket information can be found at www.ottawalynx.com or by calling 613 747-LYNX (5969).
