Lynx Earn Split With Buffalo

The Lynx scored first with a single run in the bottom of the second inning. Jason Jaramillo singled, moved over to third base on Jim Rushford's single and scored on Chris Roberson's RBI single. Ottawa added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth with two more runs. Danny Sandoval led off with a single and moved to second when Joe

Thurston was hit by a pitch. Gary Burnham brought both runners home on a 2-RBI double, staking J.A. Happ to a 3-0 lead. Buffalo narrowed the gap with two runs of their own in the top of the inning, but the Lynx put another pair on the board in the bottom of the fifth.

Jason Jaramillo clubbed the team's first home run at Lynx Stadium this season and Chris Roberson brought home Dusty Wathan with an RBI single to re-establish a three-run lead. Buffalo bounced back with two more in the top of the sixth and tied the score at 5-5 in the top of the seventh, setting the stage for Joe Thurston in the bottom of the inning, who drove home Danny Sandoval and Chris Roberson for the winning runs. Brian Sanches earned his seventh save of the season as the Lynx and Bisons split their series two games apiece.
