STRIVE FOR FIVE: Andy Marte homered for the fourth consecutive game Sunday afternoon and is now one homer shy of the Bisons all-time record. Hall of Famer Ollie Carnegie (1938), and infielders Carlos Garcia (1992) and Bill Selby (1998) all homered in five consecutive games at one point in their Bisons career. In his last nine games, Marte has gone deep seven times.
IL HONORS: The International League announced today that Andy Marte is the league's Batter-of-the-Week for the period of June 12-19. During the stretch, Marte hit .346 (9-26) with a double, five home runs and 12RBI and seven runs scored. His slugging percentage during the week was .962. For the year, Marte is slugging .450, second on the Bisons roster (Merloni, .496).
BRING 'EM IN: Jason Dubois drove home two more runs yesterday, giving him two-run doubles in each of the first two games of the series against Indianapolis. Dubois now leads the Bisons with 46RBI on the season. The total is also good for 3rd in the International League behind Rochester's Garrett Jones (50). Dubois has driven in eight runs in his last eight games.
HOMER TEAM: Andy Marte is keeping the Bisons one step ahead of the Toledo Mud Hens. Marte's team-leading 10th home run of the season yesterday was Buffalo's 61st on the season. The Herd leads the league in the category, one homer ahead of the Mud Hens.

With a shutout 9th inning last night, Mujica has now started the 2006 season with 24 outings without allowing an earned run.
