TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons face the Durham Bulls in a doubleheader that will close out their four-game series from Dunn Tire Park (1:05 p.m.). The Herd is in good position to win the series after winning the first two games of the set, Thursday (15-0) and Friday (4-2). Buffalo will go with RHP Jeremy Guthrie in game one with LHP Jeremy Sowers pitching the second game. Durham will counter with LHP Chris Seddon and RHP Jason Hammel.

-Had 29.0 consecutive inning streak without an earned run snapped in last start against the Clippers.
-2005 Indians' Minor League Pitcher of the Year (led system in wins (14), Ks (149)).
-Selected in the 1st round (6th overall) of the 2004 First-Year Player Draft.
FIRST JEREMY: Jeremy Guthrie has held opponents off the scoreboard in 33 of the 34 innings he has pitched at the Triple-A level this year. The only time a team scored against him was April 19 when Richmond scored a pair of runs in the 4th inning of a 12-3 Herd win. Since being optioned to Buffalo from Cleveland on May 16, he has thrown 16 consecutive shutout innings.
THEN JEREMY: Jeremy Sowers is currently second in the International League in ERA (1.12) and tied for second in wins (6). From May 8 until his last start, the southpaw had 29.0 consecutive inning streak without allowing an earned run. On the year, Sowers has allowed more than one earned run in only two of his 11 starts.
HOME SWEET HOME: The Bisons are 18-10 at Dunn Tire Park and lead the International League in home wins and home winning percentage (.643). Buffalo is hitting .284 in Dunn Tire Park, with 28 of their 43 home runs on the season.
HIT STREAKS: Jason Cooper, Kelly Shoppach and Andy Marte all come into today's games with nice hit streaks. Cooper (.240, 6-26) and Shoppach (.400, 10-35) have six-game hit streaks while Marte's is currently at seven games (.393, 11-28).
LET'S PLAY TWO: Today will be Buffalo's fifth doubleheader on the year. The Herd swept a doubleheader on May 7 against Ottawa and lost both ends in Toledo on May 26. The Bisons split the other two doubleheaders they've played this season.
