TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons conclude their 11-game/10-day homestand with the finale of their four-game set with the Indianapolis Indians at Dunn Tire Park (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo is an even 5-5 on the stand after falling in heartbreaking fashion to Indy, 9-8, in 11 innings last night. Andy Abad hit a pinch-hit, three-run double to give the Bisons an 8-7 lead before a 51-minute rain delay. However, when play resumed, the Indians tied the game in the 9th and won it on Cesar Crespo's home run in the 11th. Looking to earn a split of their four-game set with Indy, the Bisons will turn to RHP Jeremy Guthrie tonight. The team leader in wins (9) and innings pitched (108.1), Guthrie earned just his second no-decision on Thursday against Pawtucket. He will up against RHP Neal McDade, who pitched 2.2 innings in a relief role on Thursday (4H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 4K).

IN A PINCH: ...Andy Abad comes though with the big hit. Abad is now 3-6 in pinch-hitting situations, with a double, a home run and seven RBI. Besides last night's three-run double, he hit a game-winning RBI-single on April 8 against Richmond and blasted a three-run walk-off home run in the 11th inning on May 23 against Charlotte.

ANOTHER DOUBLE: Mike Kinkade picked up his team-leading 29th double yesterday, tying him for 3rd in the IL. The total is also the most Kinkade has hit in a year since hitting a combined 31 doubles for five different teams in 2000.

RBI-GUYS: With his three-run double last night, Andy Abad took over the team-lead in RBI. Abad now has 75 runs driven in, two ahead of Ernie Young. Abad is also just two RBI behind Syracuse's John-Ford Griffin and Columbus' Mike Vento for the International League lead.

.400 HOME: Both Ryan Garko and Jason Cooper will conclude great homestands tonight. Garko has hit .417 (15-36) on the homestand with two doubles, two homers and eight RBI. Cooper has averaged .400 (12-30) with three home runs and eight RBI.

ROSTER MOVE: The Cleveland Indians called up infielder Ramon Vazquez today. Vazquez hit .214 (18-84) with three doubles, a triple and four RBI in 21 games with the Herd. To make room, the Tribe optioned infielder Brandon Phillips to the Bisons. Phillips began the season in Buffalo, hitting .255 (84-330) with 16 doubles, 11 home runs, 33RBI and 55 runs scored. He was called up to Cleveland on July 9 and went hitless in nine at-bats over six games.
