BUFFALO, N.Y. --Indianapolis grabbed its first advantage of the night with a five-run top of the seventh, but Buffalo battled back and took the lead for good with three runs in the home half of the frame en route to a 9-8 victory Tuesday night at Dunn Tire Park. The Indians, who finish the road trip 4-4, fall to 62-49 on the season. The Bisons improve to 63-49 with the win.

Buffalo SS Brandon Phillips led off the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run to left. 2B Joe Inglett followed with his second triple of the contest and came plateward on 1B Ryan Garko's single up the middle. LF Jason Cooper then plated Garko with a double to center.

Both teams scored in their final at-bat, but Phillips' second roundtripper of the game -- another solo shot in the eighth -- proved to be the difference.

Bisons' RHP Jeremy Guthrie (6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO) started and took a no-decision. RHP Jose Diaz (1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO) improved to 1-0 with the victory, while RHP Jake Robbins (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO) picked up his 18th save of the campaign.

Indianapolis RHP Jeff Miller (0.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO) was pinned with the loss, falling to 4-6. RHP Neal McDade (4.2 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO) started and did not factor in the decision.

The Bisons cracked the scoreboard with four runs in the bottom of the fifth. C Dusty Wathan knocked a two-out single to plate 3B Mike Kinkade, who reached on a lead-off double. After an Indians miscue loaded the bases, Inglett tripled down the right-field line to clear the bases.

The Indians pushed across two runs in the sixth inning. 1B Ty Wigginton drew a bases-loaded walk to score the first run and DH Graham Koonce followed with a sacrifice fly to left.

After Buffalo scored another run in the home half of the frame, Indianapolis grabbed a short-lived lead with a five-run seventh. C Paul Chiaffredo belted a two-run homer to left field and Koonce knotted the game with his second sacrifice fly of the night. CF Cesar Crespo then blasted his second roundtripper in as many days, a two-run shot to right center. RF Alfredo Amezaga (3-for-5, 2 R) and Crespo (2-for-4, 1 HR, 1 R, 2 RBI) both notched multi-hit games for the Indians.
