Buffalo Bisons News Release

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Louisville Bats in the first of a four-game series from Louisville Slugger Field (7:05 p.m.). The game this evening will also begin an eight-game road trip for the Herd (four in Indianapolis). On the hill for the Bisons tonight will be RHP Adam Miller. Miller is coming off his first loss of the season despite pitching seven solid innings on May 12 against Rochester (9H, 2ER, 2K). The Louisville Bats will counter with LHP Bobby Livingston.

ROAD WARRIORS: The Bisons aren't afraid to leave Dunn Tire Park. The team has posted three consecutive winning road trips to start the season. At 15-7, the Herd holds the top road record in the International League. The team's road ERA of 3.65 is a full run better than their home mark (4.80). Tonight's starter Adam Miller is 2-0 with a 1.80ERA in four road starts.

STREAK SNAPPED: Franklin Gutierrez saw his 19-game hit streak end on Tuesday night. During the second longest stretch in the IL this season, the outfielder hit .381 (32-84). On the year, Gutierrez's .340 batting average is just 9 plate appearances short of qualifying as the fifth highest mark in the International League.

CHART TOPPER: Outfielder Ben Francisco has hit in 12 of his last 13 games. Since May 9, he has averaged .423 (22-52) with three doubles, two home runs, 10RBI and seven runs scored. Francisco is now hitting .348 on the year, second only to Rochester's Matt Tolbert in the IL. Francisco's .417 on-base percentage is 5th in the International League.

PATIENCE A VIRTUE: Infielder Luis Rivas drew eight walks in the four-game series with Indianapolis, including four on Saturday night. Rivas has now reached base in ten straight games, and has a hit in seven of his last nine. During this stretch Rivas is hitting .290 (9-31) with 11 base on balls.
