Durham Bulls News Release

FREQUENT FLYER MILES TAKE A HIT

Since joining the International League in 1998, the Durham Bulls have been no stranger to roster shuffling. However, this year the Bulls have recorded only 14 transactions in almost two months of play. That's less than half of the number from just last season!

MEMORIAL DAY KICKS OFF A MEMORABLE HOMESTAND

Finish off your Memorial Day weekend at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as the Bulls take on the Ottawa Lynx at a special time of 5:00 PM. Remember, this is your last chance to see the Ottawa Lynx in action as they'll be moving to Pennsylvania next season.

BALLPARK FOOD GETS A LITTLE HEALTHIER IN 2007

Buy me some veggie burritos and crackerjacks? That's right, healthy options have come to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park so you can enjoy a night at the ballgame and still eat right! Along with veggie burritos from The Flying Burrito and veggie hot dogs in the concession stands, Green Tango fresh chopped salads are available at all Durham Bulls home games. Available Green Tango favorites include the signature Caesar, Steak Lovers, Tuscan and Cobb salads as well as several wraps. Menu items feature, but are not limited to, fresh ingredients like vine ripened tomatoes, crisp lettuce, avocado, bacon, grilled chicken and steak and several savory dressings. Those of age can even purchase a glass of wine to round out their meal. Look for their kiosk on the third base side of the main concourse.

FAITH & FAMILY NIGHT RETURNS TO THE DBAP

Faith Nights Baseball Tour is hitting the Durham Bulls Athletic Park this summer with a great lineup of bands and fun characters. On Monday, June 18th, Hawk Nelson and The Send will perform a pre-game concert and the Veggie Tales will join Wool E. Bull at the ballgame. The Bulls take on the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees for their only visit to the DBAP this season.

HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR PEPSI BASEBALL CAMP WITH THE DURHAM BULLS?

It's not too late to sign your children up for the most fun they could have in the summertime...Durham Bulls Pepsi Baseball Camp! Players and coaches from America's Favorite Minor League Team will give professional baseball instruction to your young ballplayers over a three-day camp at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Plus, each camp gets a special visit from the one and only Wool E. Bull!

If you write the winning essay, your dad will be a Durham Bull for the June 17, Father's Day game. First, a limousine will bring your family to the ballpark, where your dad will sign a one-day "contract" with the Bulls. Your family will be invited to enter the ballpark early to watch the Bulls take batting practice. Then you'll be seated in field box seats for the Father's Day game and treated to your choice of ballpark food. Other prizes, souvenirs and special ballpark recognition will make this a day to remember!
