
Nelson Joins Lynx On The Road

OTTAWA - RHP Bubba Nelson has been transferred from Double-A Reading to the Lynx roster by the Philadelphia Phillies today. RHP Heath Totten returns to Reading.
Nelson, 25, was 2-1 with a 1.75 ERA and one save in 14 games with Reading this season. He has struck out 32 batters, compared to only 12 walks. Nelson has a career record of 45-50 and a 3.67 ERA in eight professional seasons. He spent last season at Double-A Mobile, going 5-7 with a 3.80 ERA and two saves in 52 games.
Totten, 28, had a 1-2 record with a 5.21 ERA in three starts with the Lynx since being transferred from Reading May 9th. He was 2-4 with a 4.46 ERA in six starts with Reading this season and was third on the Reading staff in both innings pitched and strikeouts when he joined the Lynx. The Texas native spent last season at Double-A Jacksonville, where he went 8-5 with a 3.29 ERA in 21 games.
