Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings in the finale of a two-game series at Frontier Field (1:35 p.m.). The Herd is still in search of its first win on the season after back-to-back losses to the Wings. Monday, the Bisons return home for a seven-game homestand against Pawtucket and Lehigh Valley.

Rochester has picked up the first two wins in the 2015 season series against the Bisons. Buffalo has not lost three straight to their closest rivals since August 26(2)-28, 2012 when the Red Wings won the final three games of a five-game series. The Bisons have won the season series in each of the last five years with a 49-31 record since 2010.

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF makes his Bisons debut this afternoon. The veteran pitched with four organizations in 2014 and was 6-2 with a 4.57 ERA in 19 games at the Triple-A level. A 2003 All-Star with Philadelphia, Wolf has won 133 big league games and amassed 1,786 strikeouts over his Major League career (382 total appearances).

Ryan Goins

INF RYAN GOINS collected the Bisons' first multi-hit performance of the season when he singled twice on Saturday. He ranked 2nd on the club in the category last year with 32 multi-hit games, including a pair of four hit efforts. Goins now has 203 hits in 210 career games with the Bisons.

Josh Thole

C JOSH THOLE has picked up a hit in each of the Herd's first two games. The backstop has a .292 (95-325) career average in 95 games with the Bisons. Thole played for Buffalo in 2010 and 2012 before hitting .322 in 41 games with the Herd in 2013.

Bisons Bits

RHP SCOTT COPELAND allowed just one hit in seven innings yesterday. It's the fourth time in five career Triple-A starts the righty has worked seven innings and given up one or fewer runs...Dating back to last season, RHP GREGORY INFANTE has now struck out 12 and walked none in his last five outings with the Bisons (7.1 IP)...OF CHRIS DICKERSON and INF MATT HAGUE have both drawn a walk in each game this year.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (3-2) were held to just three hits in a 7-1 loss to the Orioles on Saturday. Edwin Encarnacion's 9th-inning RBI-single scored Toronto's lone run. Aaron Sanchez took the loss with three runs allowed in 3.1 innings. Rubber match of the three-game set from Baltimore is today at 1:35 p.m.
