TODAY'S GAME: Today, the Buffalo Bisons face the Pawtucket Red Sox in the finale of a four-game series at McCoy Stadium (1:05 p.m.). The Herd has won seven straight and will look for the series sweep. The Bisons will return home Monday for an eight-game homestand against Toledo and Charlotte.

vs. PAWSOX: The Bisons are 5-6 against the Red Sox this season. The Herd is looking to return the favor by sweeping the PawSox at McCoy Stadium. Pawtucket won four straight at Coca-Cola Field, June 14-17. This is the Bisons first four-game series win at McCoy Stadium was April 27-30, 2007.

McHUGH : RHP COLLIN McHUGH will make his sixth start with the Bisons today. The 25-year old is coming off his first Triple-A victory as he allowed just three runs (one earned) in 5.1 innings of work against the Yankees on the Sunday before the All-Star break. McHugh has posted a 2.30ERA and 16 strikeouts in 15.2 innings of work over his last three starts.

WIN STREAK: The Bisons have won seven straight games for the first time August 5-11, 2010. The Herd has not won eight in a row since it rattled off a modern era record 10 straight from August 12-21(1), 2004 during the clubs IL Governors' Cup run. Buffalo also won 10 straight April 18-28, 2002.

7 HEAVEN: The Bisons have scored seven or more runs in five straight games. The last time the Herd accomplished that feat was when they scored seven or more in seven straight games, May 30 - June 5, 2005. However, the Bisons were just 4-3 over that stretch in 2005 despite scoring 73 runs in seven games.

J-BAY: Mets' OF JASON BAY went 1-4 with a run scored and a walk in his first game with the Bisons on his MLB injury rehab assignment. Bay suffered a concussion in a game with the Mets on June 15. Bay has hit .187 (13-75) with four home runs and six RBI in 22 games with New York this year.

BUY LOEW: In seven games since his return to the club, INF ADAM LOEWEN has hit .323 (10-31) with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored. The slugger now has 18RBI in just 19 total games with the Bisons. Loewen missed more than two months with a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of his right foot.

METS UPDATE : The Braves scored three runs in the eighth inning to rally pas the Mets (46-42), 8-7 last night. Former Bisons 1B IKE DAVIS hit his 13th homer of the year and also doubled. RHP R.A. DICKEY allowed five runs in five innings of a no-decision. The Mets look to avoid the three-game sweep today at 1:35 p.m.
