TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Norfolk Tides in the third game of a four-game series from Harbor Park (7:15 p.m.). The Herd snapped a season-long five-game skid with a 6-1 victory over the Tides on Tuesday evening. Buffalo is 19-17 as the road team this season.

HALF WAY THERE: At 38-34, the Bisons have completed half of the 144-game schedule. The club ranks 4th in the IL with a .257 team batting average and 7th with a 3.68 team ERA. The Bisons also rank in the league's top 5 in runs scored (5th, 303) and home runs (3rd, 63)

vs. TIDES: The Bisons are 3-3 against the Tides this season. The two teams split a four-game series in Buffalo, June 9-12. Overall, the Bisons are 38-20 at Harbor Park since 1988, good for a .655 winning percentage.

OWEN: RHP DYLAN OWEN will make his eighth start and 17th appearance for the Bisons this season. The righty fell in defeat on June 15 against Pawtucket, allowing four runs (two earned) in three innings of work. Owen squared off against the Tides 10 days ago and gave up just two runs in 4.2 innings of work in a no-decision. Owen is 2-3 with a 5.73ERA as a starter this season.

THE HAMPSONS: LHP JUSTIN HAMPSON has made six consecutive scoreless appearances out of the Bisons bullpen. During the 8.1-inning stretch, the southpaw has allowed just three hits while striking out 11. Left-handed hitters are averaging just .184 (9-49) off Hampson this season.

UPPER DEKKER: Since joining Buffalo on June 12 from Double-A Binghamton, OF MATT DEN DEKKER is hitting .259 (7-27) through seven contests. Of his seven hits, six have been good for extra bases, including three doubles, a triple and a pair of home runs. Despite a week at Triple-A, den Dekker still ranks second in the Eastern League with the 33 extra-base hits he had before his promotion to Buffalo (21 doubles, four triples, eight home runs).

BISONS BITS: Buffalo holds an identical home and road record of 19-17...With a pair of walks last night, OF VALENTINO PASCUCCI moved into second in the IL with 49 free passes on the season...OF FRED LEWIS ranks third in triples in the IL with five.

METS UPDATE : For the second straight night, the Mets (37-32) defeated the Orioles by a 5-0 score. INF JORDANY VALDESPIN (2-4, R, 2RBI) sealed the Mets' win with a two-RBI single up the middle in bottom of the seventh. Former Bison RHP DILLON GEE starts tonight as the Mets host the Orioles at 7:10 p.m.
