Today's Games

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the first game of a three-game series from Victory Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo is coming off a 2-4 homestand that ended with a 2-1 series win over the Red Wings. Today's game starts a seven-game roadtrip as the Bisons will also travel to Louisville on Thursday.

vs. the Indians

The Bisons were swept by Indy in three games last week at Coca-Cola Field. The Indians outscored the Herd 20-10 in the contests. With the new unbalanced schedule, the Bisons and Indians will play each other just six times this year. In contrast, the teams played each other as many as 24 during their time in the American Association (1985-97).

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF will make his team-high 10th start tonight. The veteran suffered his only defeat of the season last Monday against Indy, allowing six earned runs in 2.2 innings of work. Even with that rough start, Wolf leads all qualifying IL pitchers with a 1.95 ERA.

New Faces

INF DARIC BARTON and OF ALEX HASSAN made their Bisons debuts on Saturday. Signed in the off-season, Barton has hit .247 with a .356 on-base pct. in 551 career MLB games with Oakland. Hassan joined the organization on May 20 after leading Pawtucket with 31 doubles in 2014. Activated for the first time off the disabled list yesterday, veteran INF RAMON SANTIAGO is also set to make his Bisons debut.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE has three consecutive multi-hit performances with a .667 (6-9) average and two RBI since Friday. The longtime Indianapolis Indian already has 19 multi-hit games this year. Hague leads all International League hitters with 64 hits, 16 doubles and 33 RBI. He also ranks 2nd in the IL in average (.346) and a .418 on-base pct.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons continue to lead the International League with a 2.77 team ERA...RHP GREGORY INFANTE has thrown shutout baseball in nine consecutive appearances, a stretch that includes 14.0 innings of work...INF LUKE SCOTT has reached base in 11 of his first 13 games with the Bisons, posting a .314 average.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (23-29) lost 6-5 to the Twins on Sunday. Josh Donaldson hit his 15th home run of the season in the loss, good for second most in the American League through two months. Toronto is in Washington tonight to take on the Nationals with former Bison R.A. Dickey on the mound (7:05 p.m.)
