Father's Day Legends Game Adds Larsen, Jackson

Moosic, Pa. - The Father's Day Legends Game continues to grow. The highlight names of its participants like Mr. October, Reggie Jackson, and the man who once wove World Series perfection, Don Larsen, add to the June 21 event's pageantry. New title sponsor Mohegan Sun Pocono punctuates its regional weight and demonstrates the contest's level of community support and economic impact. The spectrum of its attendees, with fans journeying from not just nearby New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, but Florida, Michigan and beyond for an intimate, informal interaction with their heroes of yore, well that tells you just how wonderful it will be.

"It is sure to be a fantastic day."

The names resonate. Larsen and Jackson. The home run hero of the one-game playoff against the Boston Red Sox and the World Series MVP in 1978, Bucky Dent. The first-ever designated hitter, Ron Blomberg. And a sweeping string of others with multiple World Series rings like Jeff Nelson, Hector Lopez and Jim Coates. A full roster of the Legends can be found below along with a series of other notable notes:

- A legend in his own right, sports talk host, baseball historian and noted pundit Ed Randall will host his critically-acclaimed "Talking Baseball" show live from PNC Field the morning of the game.

- Live bands will play before and after the game.

- The 1978 World Series trophy will be on display throughout the day for fans to both see in person and pose with for photographs.

- A post-game BBQ with full field access including photos in the dugouts, catch on the field and more.

- A charity auction will take place to benefit Parkinson's disease research with proceeds benefitting the National Parkinson Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation (more details below).

Gates will open at 12:30 p.m. in advance of a 2:05 p.m. first pitch. Ticket prices include:

Bleachers / Lawn - $10

Field Reserve - $20

Infield Box - $30

Mohegan Sun Club Level - $40

VIP Tickets - $150 (includes game ticket and pre-and post-game lunch and VIP reception with the Yankees Legends).

All fans will receive a commemorative game ticket as well. The Father's Day barbeque commences at 3:30 p.m., and costs $25 for adults, $12 for children under 12, and is free for children under 2.

One of the unique aspects of the Father's Day Legends Game presented by Mohegan Sun Pocono is the ability to participate in the game itself and spend time with the Yankees Legends in an informal setting. Some of these experiences include: playing in the game, coaching / managing a Legends team, being a batboy and a meet-and-greet with Legends players at PNC Field. In addition to the in-game experiences, player jerseys are being auctioned and winners will meet the individual player whose jersey they just purchased immediately following the game.
