Today's Game

This evening the Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in games four and five of their six-game set. The Bisons look to grab two more wins today after a close, one-run game in last night's contest. After this series Buffalo will welcome the Lehigh Valley IronPigs to Sahlen Field for a three-game series.

Yesterday's Game: BUF 5, SWB 4

The Bisons held on for the close win against the Railriders, even with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre collecting 11 hits to Buffalo's seven. The longball played a large part in yesterday's game, as there were four total home runs hit in the game. Three different RailRider players hit home runs, including two by Trey Amburgey. Buffalo's offense was led by an RBI double by Patrick Kivlehan and a grand slam by Billy McKinney in the third.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (4-7)

Buffalo and the RailRiders are meeting for the third time at Sahlen Field this season. The two teams opened the year in Buffalo, and were supposed to play a two-day, three game series in late April that was postponed. The Herd will still travel to Moosic two more times before the end of the year.

Today's Gm1 Starter

Shawn Morimando looks to get the Bisons off to a good start in game one of the doubleheader. In his last outing, he tossed a

season high 7.1 IP and allowed just three runs but was handed the no-decision as Buffalo fell to Rochester, 5-4.

Today's Gm2 Starter

Conor Fisk will take the hill for game two of the twin bill action at Sahlen Field. This will be just his fourth start in his 15th appearance for the Herd in 2019. On the year, he has thrown 30.1 IP, with 29 strikeouts to just 15 walks. He also carries a 5.04 ERA with a 1-2 record.

Billy McKinney

Billy McKinney powered the Bisons offense as he launched a grand slam in the third- nning over the right-center field wall. Buffalo carried that momentum throughout the game to hold onto the lead while he brought his RBI total for the Herd up to eight.

Buddy Boshers

Buddy Boshers was strong out of the bullpen as he threw three, no-hit innings, while also striking out five batters. His ERA dropped down to 2.16 and continues to pitch well against left-handed batters as they are hitting just .143 against Boshers on the year.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (23-38) ended their six game skid as they knocked off the division-leading New York Yankees 4-3 at home. Randal Grichuk and Freddy Galvis each hit home runs off RHP Masahiro Tanaka. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. earned his 13th RBI on a sinlge to left in the fifth-inning to finish off the Blue Jays scoring. Game two of their series is set for tonight with a 7:07 p.m. first pitch.
