Today's Game

This evening, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the second game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field. The Herd will then host the Pawtucket Red Sox following this series June 25-28 before heading up the 90 to Syracuse to face the Chiefs June 29-30 and July 1. The four-game series with the PaxSox represents the back half of eight games in 10 days against the IL North foe.

Last Night's Game: BUF 3, LHV 8

RHP Chris Rowley surrendered five runs (four earned) in 6.2 innings in the loss on Friday. The righty walked four and gave up eight hits in his fourth defeat of the season. OF Anthony Alford had three of the Herd's six hits. All of Alford's knocks were extra-base hits. He also had a walk which put him on-base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lehigh Valley (2-6)

The Bisons and IronPigs will play a total of 18 times this season. Buffalo last played Lehigh Valley last week in Allentown, PA (June 11-13). The series spanned three days with four games played due to a postponement from earlier in the season due to rain. The Bisons will play seven home games against the IronPigs while playing eleven in Coca-Cola Park. OF Anthony Alford has hit .389 (7-18) with a .500 on-base percentage and seven runs scored in five games against the IronPigs.

Today's Starter: RHP Conor Fisk

RHP Conor Fisk will make his first start of the season tonight for the Bisons. The righty made 22 starts in 28 appearances with Dunedin in 2017. Fisk looks to take the success he has had in the bullpen this season and carry it over to the start of the game. In 19 games with New Hampshire (AA) and Buffalo, Fisk is 2-1 with a 0.70ERA in 38.2 innings pitched.

Anthony Alford

OF Anthony Alford collected his ninth multi-hit game of the season for the Bisons going 3-3 with two doubles, a triple, and two runs scored in Friday's loss. This is the second game this season Alford has collected three hits in a game. The last time he did this was June 11 in Lehigh Valley where he was 3-5 with a walk and two runs scored.

Reese McGuire

C Reese McGuire had a double in three at bats in Friday's loss and also walked. The backstop, who was the designated-hitter in the game, is now batting .304 (14-46) with an on-base percentage of .424 in 15 games played in the month of June. In his last 11 games, McGuire has reached base ten times and has also had 14 hits in 35 at-bats (.400) increasing his batting average 49 points (.235). He has also hit .368 (7-19) with a .500 on base-percentage in six games against Lehigh Valley this season.

Bisons' Bits

LHP Ryan Borucki has a 2.81ERA in four starts in June (25.1IP)...RHP Sean Reid-Foley has thrown 21.1IP in four starts in June (2.91ERA)...Two of the three complete games thrown by Buffalo starters have come in June (Reid-Foley and Borucki)...The team's 68 stolen bases is good for first in the IL.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (34-41) dropped the second game of their four-game series against the Angels with a 2-1 loss on Friday night. INF Devon Travis went 1-4 with a double that knocked in the lone run for the Jays. OF Steve Pearce was 3-4 in his first game back from the Disabled List. RHP Marcos Stroman will be activated off the DL as he faces RHP Jaime Barria tonight (9:07 p.m.).
