Today's Game
This evening, the Bisons take on the Durham Bulls in the second game of a four-game series. The Herd will then have a scheduled off-day on Monday before heading to Louisville and Indianapolis. Buffalo will play three doubleheaders on the road trip (7/24 (LOU), 7/27 (IND), and 7/29 (IND)) as part of the postponed games at Coca-Cola Field in April. The team will then return home to face the Lehigh Valley IronPigs to wrap up July and begin the final month of the season.

LHP Thomas Pannone threw a career-high eight innings in the loss. The lefty struck out nine batters while surrendering two runs on six hits. 1B Rowdy Tellez hit his eighth home run of the season, his second in consecutive days. C Reese McGuire collected two hits in three trips to the plate on Thursday including a double down the first base line to score OF Anthony Alford all the way from first.
Durham (1-3)
The Bisons and Bulls are meeting for their second, and final, series of the season. They last played on April 23-25 at DBAP in Durham, NC. The Herd took the last game of the series with a 5-2 victory. RHP Chris Rowley is the only active pitcher on the Bisons' roster to have made an appearance against the Bulls during the series in April. C Reese McGuire is 4-10 (.400AVG) in three games against the Bulls this season and has a two extra-base hits and three runs driven in.
Today's Starter: RHP Chris Rowley
RHP Chris Rowley is making his seventeenth start of the season for the Bisons tonight and sixth consecutive start at Coca-Cola Field. This will be Rowley's first appearance since being optioned to Buffalo from Toronto. His last start came on July 8 against the Syracuse Chiefs where he went six innings in the 3-0 loss.
Rowdy Tellez
1B Rowdy Tellez was 1-3 with a walk on Friday. The lefty slugger also hit his eighth home run of the season, and second in consecutive days. This is the third most home runs Tellez has hit in a season (14 in 2015 with Lansing (A)/Dunedin (A-Adv) and 23 in 2016 with New Hampshire (AA)).
Transactions
Prior to Thursday's game, INF Gift Ngoepe was placed on the Disabled List retroactive to 7/17 and INF Gunnar Heidt was promoted from New Hampshire (AA).
Thomas Pannone
LHP Thomas Pannone tossed eight innings on Friday. His start ties RHP Deck McGuire and RHP Chris Rowley for the team lead in most innings in a single start this season.
Bisons' Bits
There have been eleven of the Blue Jays' 30 Top Prospects according to MLB.com play for the Bisons this season...INF Richard Urena tied OF Roemon Fields' ten-game hitting streak for the second longest by a Bisons' hitter this season (INF Tim Lopes had 11 straight games to open the season 4/9-4/28)...The Bisons now have 92 stolen bases this year, first in the IL and second amongst Triple-A teams (Colorado Springs, 126).
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays return to action to face the Baltimore Orioles. Toronto (43-52) will start a six-game homestand at Rogers Centre as they face the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins. RHP Sam Gaviglio faces RHP Dylan Bundy in the opener tonight (7:07 p.m.).
