
Bisons Activate OF Anthony Gose, RHP P.J. Walters

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that OF ANTHONY GOSE has been added to the team's active roster after being optioned by the Blue Jays on June 18. The Bisons also announced that RHP P.J. WALTERS has been promoted to the Herd from New Hampshire (AA) and will start for Buffalo on Sunday afternoon against Rochester.
The Blue Jays announced last night that they have recalled LHP ROB RASMUSSEN from the Bisons and optioned RHP LIAM HENDRIKS to the Herd.
Gose has been with the Blue Jays since May 15, his third promotion this year to the Major Leagues. In 34 total games with Toronto this season, the outfielder has hit .233 (20-86) with three doubles, a triple, four RBI, three stolen bases and eight runs scored. Gose has also played 28 games with the Bisons in 2014 and averaged .236 (36-110) with six extra-base hits, 10 RBI and eight stolen bases.
Walters was acquired by the Blue Jays in a trade with the Houston Astros on May 26. He's made four starts for New Hampshire since then and posted a 1-0 record with a 2.70 ERA (26.2 IP, 21 H, 5 BB, 22 SO). In his Fisher Cats debut on May 31 in Altoona, Walters struck out 10 and allowed just one hit in seven innings of work.
Walters was 1-4 with a 7.97 ERA in 10 game and eight starts for Triple-A Omaha to begin the season. He was 7-5 with a 4.18 ERA in 19 starts for the Rochester Red Wings in 2013.
Rasmussen receives his second promotion to Toronto this season. The southpaw is 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA and one save in 19 relief outings for the Bisons this year (24.0 IP, 18 H, 14 BB, 23 SO).
Hendriks is tied for the International League lead with a 1.92 ERA. He is 6-0 with a 12 games for the Bisons this season (70.1 IP, 57 H, 4 BB, 54 SO).
